Adele Spinder is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with a background in pediatric emergency and forensic nursing. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Duke University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh. She joined the Southmountain team as a medical provider in March, 2025. 

Adele began her nursing career in the emergency department, and spent several years caring for children with acute illnesses, injuries, and complex medical needs. She received training to become a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner in 2021, and has extensive experience providing trauma-informed care to adult and pediatric survivors of sexual abuse and assault.

In her role at Southmountain Children and Family Services, Adele provides medical evaluations for children and adolescents involved in suspected maltreatment, develops recommendations to address their medical needs, and works closely with families and multidisciplinary teams. She also provides education to healthcare professionals, community partners, and families on child health, abuse, and trauma. Adele is passionate about helping children and families feel supported and heard while ensuring that children affected by maltreatment receive thoughtful, compassionate, and comprehensive medical care.

Outside of work, Adele enjoys gardening, cooking, and trivia nights. She also enjoys spending time with her dog, Dolly, and two cats, Thea and Buddy.
